C/2012 K5 (LINEAR) imaged using SLOOH’s Canary Islands 2 High Mag on Jan 31st, 2013 at 23:05:31 UTC
I used the Slooh telescope to take this image of C/2012 K5 (LINEAR) last night. The comet is looking rather splendid at the moment and is showing a nicely developed tail. I found the coordinates for the comet by using http://minorplanetcenter.net/ with the ground coordinates for Slooh to compute the ephemeris data for the comet (with thanks to astronomer Nick Howes for giving me a guided tour of the site) and input the RA and Dec into the Slooh telescopes interface. I will be posting more comet images soon.
